Boys to Men
... bridging the gap

This seminar explores the growing up process for boys, the challenges that parents face and the different learning styles of boys and girls. Day one discusses the influence of peers and explores strategies to combat peer pressure and bullying.

The role of the family is expanded and ways of talking to boys and having them deal with their feelings is a highlight of the seminar.

Day two explores, in more detail, ways of getting boys to improve their literacy with an emphasis on reading techniques. We explore the influence of the media and discuss visual literacy strategies. The Internet, communication and violence are expanded in day two and the impact of sport on boys.
